Stephan Klinger appointed new head of VIG Legal Department
As of May 2015, Stephan Klinger (37) has assumed responsibility for Vienna Insurance Group’s Legal Department. His predecessor Natalia Čadek has in the meanwhile taken over the function of the Group Compliance Officer and is the Issuer Compliance Officer of Vienna Insurance Group.
“Stephan Klinger has a broad experience of complex legal structures, including in the CEE region.

Born in Upper Austria, Stephan Klinger was formerly in charge of the Legal and Compliance service department at Österreichische Volksbanken AG. His career has included time at a law firm as a commercial law specialist, and at the Austrian Financial Market Authority, in the market and stock exchange supervision department.
Stephan Klinger studied capital market and employment law, philosophy and anthropology at the University of Vienna, and has a doctorate in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
He regularly publishes papers on academic topics and has been a tutor and lecturer in both the university and non-university sectors for more than 15 years.
