BEST RECRUITERS tested recruiting measures of 1,311 organisations in the German-speaking countries. Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) emerged as industry winner of insurances in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Overall, VIG ranked 18th among 1,311 companies of all industries.

The annual BEST RECRUITERS ranking, the biggest recruiting study within the German-speaking region, evaluates employer branding activities and recruiting. Within the insurances category in the
D-A-CH region, VIG won first place. Among all 1,311 assessed companies in the D-A-CH region, VIG was ranked 18th with 85.5 out of 100 points.

In December 2018, VIG already received the BEST RECRUITERS gold medal for the second time in a row, and positioned itself as winner in the Austrian insurance sector. Of the 500 Austrian companies evaluated, VIG accomplished rank 12.

For Birgit Moosmann, Head of VIG Human Resources department, this top ranking in the entire German-speaking region is both, recognition and challenge: “In recent years, we focused on setting up a highly professional and modern application process in order to attract the best candidates. Equally important is subsequently fostering skills by means of individually designed training programmes and establishing contemporary conditions to ensure motivated working.”

Every year, BEST RECRUITERS examines the recruiting quality of top employers in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein on the basis of over 200 scientific criteria. With a variety of findings and the resulting optimisation strategies for employers, the study makes a major contribution to advancing the quality of recruiting. Within the study’s scope, staff recruitment activities are assessed in domains such as online recruitment presence, online job advertisements, taking care of applicants as well as feedback performance.
