Vienna Insurance Group: Sabine Stiller appointed General Secretary
Sabine Stiller (29) is set to be appointed as the General Secretary of the Vienna Insurance Group AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe on 1st January 2011. With the appointment of Sabine Stiller as General Secretary, the Group has further strengthened one of its key functions. The General Secretariat, which has already been headed by Sabine Stiller since early 2010, is a central coordination and communications office that manages cross-border and inter-divisional projects. It is responsible for the preparation of issues to be handled by the management and supervisory board, the creation of annual and interim reports, the monitoring of the ratings issued by Standard & Poor's and the performing of market analyses.
“By appointing Sabine Stiller as General Secretary, we have a future-oriented executive in a position that is a key interface for the Group. She is an excellent example of our forward-looking personnel strategy, in which international experience within the Group plays an important role," comments Günter Geyer, CEO of the Vienna Insurance Group, before adding, “we place great emphasis on promoting talented staff and continuously strengthening our team of young executives."
Sabine Stiller was born in the state of Upper Austria and obtained a degree in Management Consulting at the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences. In 2005 she joined Wiener Städtische as a management assistant in the General Secretariat before moving within the Vienna Insurance Group almost two years later to the Czech group companies Česká podnikatelská pojišťovna (ČPP) and Kooperativa.
