9 out of 10 employees rate VIG Holding a great place to work

On 1 September 2026, VIG Holding once again received the internationally recognised “Great Place To Work” certification. The certification is based on an anonymous, independent employee engagement survey. The already very good 2024 survey results improved further in all five key areas: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

9 out of 10 of our employees say that VIG Holding is a very good place to work – in 2024, it was 8 out of 10. This is a significant improvement that we are very pleased about. Our employees are the foundation of our success and shape our corporate culture through their commitment every day. The feedback from the survey is being analysed in greater depth and incorporated into the further development of our workplace culture. Employees and managers are actively involved in this process”, says Hartwig Löger, CEO of Vienna Insurance Group.

The results also demonstrate a strong sense of connection with VIG Holding: 86% of respondents are proud of their workplace, with the same percentage recommending VIG Holding as a very good employer.

Life balance, diversity and care rated particularly positively

At VIG Holding, life balance as well as an appreciative and fair approach to diversity were specifically highlighted as positive aspects. Employees also positively highlighted aspects relating to care and mental health.

A good workplace culture is reflected above all in how employees actually experience their everyday working lives. Flexible working conditions help employees combine their professional and personal lives. These are complemented by a range of initiatives relating to health and family. I am particularly pleased that diversity and mutual respect are perceived so positively by our employees”, says Barbara Hohl, Head of Human Resources at VIG.

The picture at Group level is also very positive

A large number of VIG Group companies took the opportunity to participate in the Great Place To Work survey in 2026. Around 26,000 employees across the VIG Group were invited to take part, with a response rate of 77%. On average across the Group, three quarters of employees say that their respective company is a very good place to work.

The ambition to be an attractive employer is also strategically anchored within the Group. The further development of employees and corporate culture forms part of evolve28, the Group-wide strategic programme until 2028. Employees are also one of the six areas of impact in VIG’s sustainability programme.
