“With our new homepage, we offer investors, shareholders, the media and our customers an improved, easy-to-follow online service,” states Günter Geyer, CEO of the Vienna Insurance Group. He continues, “the Group website is built around the Vienna Insurance Group as a soon-to-be listed group holding company: it includes the history and origins of the group as well as information relating to shares and investments in the company, international career opportunities and the company’s cultural responsibilities. The information about the social and cultural projects that we as a group are supporting and actively promoting throughout Central and Eastern Europe are also an important aspect for us.”

Modern, dynamic and up-to-date

To help visitors navigate the online world of the Vienna Insurance Group, the homepage contains five main menu items:

• V.I.G.

Under this menu item, you will find information about the origins of the group, its corporate strategy, the market and the management structure. Graphs and charts visually supplement the other information provided on these pages.

• Investor Relations

The Investor Relations area has become even more dynamic and, in addition to the tried and trusted interactive share price chart, now offers users an improved IR News search function as well as an extended table function with the facility to download reports and presentations.

• Press
The Press section is another essential component of the new website. Thanks to the optimised search function for the Press Releases and Architecture Exhibition News pages, journalists will now find it easier and faster to retrieve the information they want. In addition, the image database has also been extended and now offers a vast selection of theme-based images.

• Jobs & Careers
The Jobs & Careers section is brand new. It presents the Human Resources Division of the Vienna Insurance Group and provides relevant information, including about the group’s HR strategy and recruitment drives. This section also contains an interactive map with HR contact details for each individual company in the group. In future, this menu will also contain a dedicated sub-item for advertising jobs at the V.I.G. Head Office. 

• Corporate Responsibility
Cultural and social responsibility is extremely important to the Vienna Insurance Group. Hence, the group has set up a dedicated section for this under the Corporate Responsibility menu item. This area contains a comprehensive overview of the cultural and social projects with which the group is involved.

The Vienna Insurance Group now offers a new RSS Feed feature on its Investor Relations pages and in the Public Relations area of its website. This function, available by subscription, allows specific pages to be regularly and automatically checked for new content. Subscribers receive clearly listed updates through a special reading program (RSS Reader) or directly via their web browser (Internet Explorer 7, Firefox, etc.).

Not only has the new Vienna Insurance Group website been restructured in terms of content, it has also been visually enhanced and rendered in a more user-friendly fashion. There are now graphics and photos to help users navigate the pages and the user’s whereabouts within the website are made clear through the main navigation area towards the top of the page as well as the navigation options near the bottom. The website is available in two languages, thus allowing information to be provided to users by the Vienna Insurance Group in both German and English.
