From September 16 to 23, 2023, the peace fleet mirno more set sail for the 29th time. The fleet is made up of almost 100 ships every year to set a sign for peace and against exclusion on the Croatian Adriatic – between Šibenik and Split.

It is the world's largest sailing project for socially disadvantaged children and young people. The greeting "mirno more" stands for "peaceful sea" and is usually exchanged between Croatian sailors. The project, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next year, was originally set up to bring together children and young people affected by the Yugoslav wars in a peaceful way.

Vienna Insurance Group supported the fleet again in 2023. VIG provided T-shirts for all participants and took over a ship sponsorship!

After the arrival of the hundreds of participants in Croatia, a welcome party was held in Rogoznica, followed by a sailing rally and a peace festival, before the fleet trip started. At the peace festival the creativity of the children and young people was in demand, who performed their interpretation of tolerance and non-prejudice – whether singing, dancing, speaking or even silently.

Andreas Bauer, Chairman Of The Board of mirno more
The peace fleet mirno more 2023 was once again a complete success. It fills me with joy that the project receives such versatile support. A big thank you goes to the sponsors and also to all the volunteers who form the organizing team and thus make the sailing fleet possible in the first place. I am already looking forward to the 30th anniversary next year. Have a good trip home and mirno more!
