Your Tasks
In this role, you will support Group-wide IFRS 17 reporting and closing processes with a focus on SAP FPSL as the IFRS 17 subledger. You will work closely with Group Finance, local insurance companies, IT, and external partners to ensure stable and compliant reporting processes. You will also contribute to the integration of new Group entities into the existing IFRS 17 and SAP FPSL landscape, support the analysis of business topics, and participate in the continuous improvement and harmonisation of finance processes in an international environment. Your responsibilities include:
- Lead and support Group companies within Austria and abroad throughout the IFRS 17 Group reporting process, acting in a team of business analysts as a central coordination and escalation point
- Analyze, assess, and resolve complex IFRS 17–related topics in the context of Group reporting (e.g. methodology, system logic, data quality, and reporting requirements)
- Support VIG insurance companies in the usage and further development of SAP FPSL as the Group-wide IFRS 17 subledger
- Drive ongoing process optimisation and identify potential for automation, standardisation, and functional enhancements
- Act as an interface between Group Finance, specialist departments, VIG IT, and related transformation initiatives, including the S/4HANA Finance transformation
- Plan, design, and deliver training sessions and knowledge transfer formats focused on SAP FPSL and IFRS 17 processes across the VIG Group
- Serve as a key contact person for internal departments and VIG insurance companies regarding IFRS 17 and FPSL-related topics
Your Profile
- Completed degree or education in Finance, Accounting, Business Informatics, Economics, or a comparable field
- Professional experience in the financial services or insurance sector; knowledge of IFRS 17 is a strong advantage
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international, multi-stakeholder environment
- High level of reliability, ownership, and responsibility, combined with the ability to perform under time pressure
- Structured and independent working style with a proactive mindset
- Very good written and spoken English; German is an advantage but not a prerequisite

Our mission
Based on the legal requirements, we inform about the monthly minimum salary according to the collective agreement of EUR 3 248,7 gross on the basis of full-time employment (37,5 hours / week). Of course, the remuneration package is market-compliant. It is important to us that your salary is based on your qualifications and experience, therefore we will discuss the salary together in a personal interview.
