Your Tasks
As part of Vienna Insurance Group, the leading insurance group in Central and Eastern Europe, we are strengthening our presence in the Nordic markets. To support this strategic development, we are expanding our Industrial Corporate underwriting activities in the region of Copenhagen, Oslo or Stockholm.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development within a financially strong and well-established international group. You will work closely with local and international colleagues in an environment characterized by trust, responsibility and clear structures, while supporting sustainable portfolio growth in the Nordics.
- Independently underwrite complex, high-value Industrial Corporate Property and Business Interruption risks, including multinational accounts, with full ownership of underwriting decisions
- Manage the portfolio at all levels – UW, negotiations, policy issuance, booking and supporting elements around the portfolio
- Structure, negotiate and manage international programs and tailor-made coverage solutions in line with risk appetite and profitability targets
- Conduct in-depth risk analysis, pricing and exposure assessments, ensuring technically sound and commercially viable underwriting decisions
- Collaborate with Risk Engineering, Claims and Reinsurance to develop holistic underwriting strategies and effective risk transfer solutions
- Drive broker and client relationships at senior level, leading negotiations and contributing to new business acquisition in the Nordic market
- Actively steer and develop the portfolio with a focus on sustainable growth, profitability, retention and market positioning
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in Industrial Corporate Property underwriting
- Strong technical expertise in Property Damage and Business Interruption, with the ability to assess complex risks
- Experience with international programs and large industrial risks is considered a strong asset
- Sound commercial judgement combined with a structured and solution-oriented decision-making approach
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term broker and client relationships
- Fluent English; Nordic language skills are an advantage
