Your Tasks

In this role, you will take on an active position within Group Actuarial at Vienna Insurance Group, with a focus on life and health insurance. You will work in an international environment and make a significant contribution to the group-wide implementation and further development of IFRS 17 across multiple markets.

  • Analyze, validate, and interpret IFRS 17 results and their key drivers for life and health insurance portfolios
  • Collaborate closely with local companies as well as Finance, Risk and IT teams to align business requirements and interfaces
  • Support the roll-out and further development of IFRS 17 methodologies as well as the integration of new entities
  • Develop and enhance KPIs for steering insurance portfolios
  • Conduct performance analyses, identify optimization potential and prepare management reports to support decision-making
  • Contribute to group-wide topics at the intersection of Actuarial, Finance and Risk Management
  • Exchange knowledge and collaborate with international teams across the CEE region, gaining insights into different insurance markets and business models

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science or a comparable quantitative field
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the insurance industry, e.g. in actuarial functions, Risk Management, Finance, Consulting or a similar role
  • Team-oriented personality with strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Python, R, or comparable technologies
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, a structured and solution-oriented approach to work and a solid understanding of interconnected business topics
  • Interest in developing expertise in areas such as IFRS 17, insurance valuation and the financial management of insurance portfolios
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of German is preferred

Based on the legal requirements, we inform about the monthly minimum salary according to the collective agreement of EUR 3.668,49 gross on the basis of full-time employment (37,5 hours / week). Of course, the remuneration package is market-compliant. It is important to us that your salary is based on your qualifications and experience, therefore we will discuss the salary together in a personal interview.
This full-time position is to be filled as soon as possible.
