Strategic goal of the department
VIG's product variety is expanded here through the consulting of large, international companies with risks in the CEE area.
Core tasks:
- Promoting international corporate business in all VIG countries
- Designing insurance contracts with a focus on service orientation and economic protection
Daily Business:
- Developing and designing tailor-made insurance contracts for corporate customers
- Conducting individual analyses and assessments of complex risks for customers
- Serving (international) major customers comprehensively in the event of a claim

Key Qualifications

Experience in underwriting and/or claims management with an international focus
Ability to design and implement complex and international programmes
High degree of service and broker orientation also with regard to possible key account management activities
Experience in working with risk management for technical risk assessments
Interest in the CEE economic area
High willingness to travel
Strong degree of initiative and personal responsibility with regard to the development of international structures
Excellent written and spoken English
Knowledge of German and an Eastern European language an advantage

At the end of 2019, I took over the management of the company business service group and was surprised and impressed by the complexity of the tasks and the enormous expertise of the staff. The necessity of comprehensively capturing tasks and the associated and required diversity of knowledge, communication skills and networking is particularly exciting and varied. If you want to characterise the work in one word, 'multi-faceted' is most apt, and this multi-faceted nature is reflected in many dimensions!

At VIG, I can work beyond the borders of Austria and cooperate with partners around the world to assist our customers and offer the right solutions! In my work, I liaise between several cultures and not only get to know the international business customs, but also a lot about life in different countries.
