Vienna Insurance Group named “Great Place To Work”
VIG recognised for outstanding company culture
In September 2024, VIG Holding received the internationally recognised “Great Place To Work” certification for outstanding company culture. The award was made on the basis of an anonymous survey of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) employees by the independent employee survey organisation Great Place To Work®. The survey looked at five separate areas: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and team spirit.
“In the ‘Great Place to Work’ survey, 83% of our employees expressed a high level of satisfaction with VIG as an employer. This highly positive feedback is also evident on a daily basis in the commitment shown by our colleagues,” says Hartwig Löger, CEO of Vienna Insurance Group. “It is also particularly pleasing to see that many of our VIG Group companies participated in the survey and were also awarded this certification.”
The findings confirm VIG’s claim to be a responsible employer that creates an appreciative working environment. The suggestions made by employees will now be closely analysed and will form the basis for continued improvements within the company.
Findings for life balance & diversity particularly strong
VIG Holding employees gave particularly positive feedback in areas such as collaboration & partnering, flexibility & life balance, diversity, transparent company culture, and leadership.
Barbara Hohl, Head of Human Resources at VIG: “Life balance is a priority for us. Our goal is to create an environment that gives our employees scope to manage both their professional and personal obligations. With this in mind, we also provide opportunities around family, sport and mobility, as well as giving consideration to the individual needs of employees. Entirely in keeping with diversity.”
A sustainability programme with employees at its core
With its “VIG 25” sustainability programme, VIG promotes equal opportunities, a focus on employees, and diversity. The employees themselves therefore represent one of the programme’s six key focus areas. Achieving the “Great Place To Work” certification is an important step in validating this approach.
