Lost in the middle of nowhere
You are driving comfortably along a deserted area when your car suddenly jerks, makes strange noises and stops. "Not here and now," you think to yourself. All attempts to start the car fail, a check under the hood does not reveal any information. "Rien ne va plus" and that in the middle of nowhere. But you simply take out your cell phones, dial the Global Assistance number and describe your problem. With the link received on the mobile phone, you can see exactly when a towing service is coming, what the driver's name and what the license plate is. You can track exactly where the towing service is at any given time, and the tow truck will know exactly where you are. You will be brought home or to the next desired place, the car will be taken to the nearest workshop.
Every year 600,000 VIG customers benefit from these additional services offered by their local insurance companies. That's how many assistance cases are handled by the now 9 Global Assistance companies that serve customers in 11 VIG Group countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Georgia, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina). For this purpose, VIG uses a digital service tool developed in-house, which is one of the most modern software systems on the market in the event of accidents and breakdowns involving motor vehicles. The participating VIG countries can also work together in a digitally networked manner and provide policyholders with quick and precise cross-border assistance. Whether in the event of a car accident, breakdown or injury while on holiday, the Global Assistance Call Center can locate the VIG customer if necessary and organise help quickly, even if the customer is not in his or her home country, for example due to a holiday stay.
However, the range of assistance services is not limited to the car. VIG customers are also offered various additional services in the areas of travel, household and health. In this way, the VIG Group is pursuing the goal of offering its customers valuable additional benefits to their insurance contract that have nothing to do with the contract for risk coverage and payment for accidental damage, theft, a.s.o..
The latest service is offered by the Czech assistance company Global Assistance. Customers of the Czech VIG company Kooperativa can use an app that offers them a refund of part of their insurance premium for responsible driving.
